Problems connecting to other computers using Distributed Processing

Issue

I am unable to connect (as a master) to any slaves when using Distributed Processing.

Resolution

This sometimes happens on computer systems running Cisco VPN software. The Cisco VPN has an internal, static firewall that, by default, remains active even if the VPN connection is not in use. The static firewall must be disabled to allow network traffic to and from the computer(s).
